PURPOSE: Menatetrenone, a vitamin K2 analogue, plays an important role in the production of blood coagulation factors.
The product portfolio includes human plasma derivatives such as immunoglobulin preparations and blood coagulation factors as well as test systems for transplant and transfusion diagnosis and tests for hygiene monitoring.
Current therapies for preventing acute clot formation include platelet inhibitors such as IIb/IIIa antagonists, and inhibitors of specific blood coagulation factors, such as thrombin.
