LGS is a severe form of generalized epilepsy that develops in early childhood caused by various brain disorders such as brain hemorrhage, encephalitis, developmental malformations of the brain, or metabolic abnormalities. Mike Qualls, a former newspaper editor and Vietnam veteran who served as communications director for former City Attorney James Hahn, died Sunday of an apparent brain hemorrhage. The donor was hospitalized in Texas in early May and diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage. |
