Shareholders also voted to change the name of the Company back to ASA Limited and to amend the Amended and Restated Bye-Laws, as described in proposal 4 in the proxy statement distributed in connection with the meeting.
Further details concerning the upcoming shareholders meeting, including a formal notice, agenda and proxy statement, will be delivered to shareholders of the Company in the near future in accordance with the Company's Bye-laws and Bermuda law.
The additional shares will accommodate the previously announced two-for-one stock split (to be effected in the form of a stock dividend), which was approved by the company's board of directors subject to shareholder approval of the bye-law amendment.
