These studies (17-29) suggest to us that stretching capsular ligaments in a more abducted position will be beneficial in increasing abduction because the inferior glenohumeral ligament complex, we believe, will be resisting further abduction. The outer fibrous part of the capsule of a synovial joint that may be thickened in places to form capsular ligaments. Within a region of the spine, the strongest ligament is generally the anterior longitudinal ligament and the weakest ligament is the interspinous ligament, with the strength of the capsular ligaments, the posterior longitudinal ligament, and the ligamentum flavum falling in between. |
