A car dealership cashed a check that they promised to hold, and has caused a dominoes effect with my bank acct. being overdrawn, my rent to be delayed, and much mental and physical stress, am I allowed to request compensatory damages as well as actual damages? Also what type of arty would I need to try to contact here in Arizona??

Based on what you say here, you could probably file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...
