Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: CanadaState: Alberta I have been charged with possession of a small amount of cocaine in a nightclub in Banff. I did not have on my possession any drugs, they were found in the cubicle I was using to urinate. The arresting officer accused me of owning what they found on the floor, I said it was not mine, and refused to admit it was mine. I did not resist arrest as I am a traveler on my way to work and this is my first time in a foreign country, not wanting to upset anyone. What are my rights now as I am to appear in court in January. AnswerYou can continue to deny it--if they have no other proof you should be able to prevail. How to thank TFD for its existence?
