Country: United States of America State: Florida hello, I am who has practiced flawless nursing for15 yrs. In 1998 I was convicted of a dui. (.08).in 2003 I was convicted of a dui on prescribed medication in act and deck. DOH filed compliant of this with the board of nursing in 2004.7 pages of facts and allegation of the dues. These dues were never before or during work. (Or did not occur within 24 hrs of work) Yet, the DOH alleges I committed a crime (f.s.464.018 (1) (c) " being convicted or found guilty of, or entering a plea of knoll contender to, regardless of adjudge, a crime in any jurisdiction which DIRECTLY RELATES TO NURSING OR THE ABILITY TO PRACTICE NURSING."HOWEVER, the DOH leaves out the words 'OR ENTERING A PLEA OF NOLO CONTENDER TO'.

Answer

In any case, hire counsel to contest the board actions if they try to restrict you--these things are often resolved quietly…
