Question

Country: United Kingdom
State: All States/Provinces

I am a Nigerian citizen who is currently resident and working in Nigeria. In January 2004 I traveled to Germany on a visiting holiday. during the period of my visit I applied to British embassy in Germany for a UK Working Holiday Visa.i was refused on the basis that i might not return to my home country.they also advised i applied from my home country.i returned to Nigeria soon after. In september2004 my admission to a UK university for Masters degree pulled through.i applied to the british embassy in Nigeria for student visa without disclosing i had applied previously and refused. I was found out! and on that basis was refused student visa. Recently i got married here in Nigeria to a guy who is currently based in the UK on work permit .He wants to bring me over as his dependant(wife).having had all documents ready with a new status.I am worried i could be refused again, due to my past records.Do I state everything in my application this time or what do i do? My surname has changed. thanks

Answer

It is best to be honest and disclose all info--if a problem develops it can then then be worked on further.
