The settlement and distribution of a decedent's estate in the state of his or her permanent residence, the place to which the decedent intended to return even though he or she might actually have resided elsewhere. Domiciliary administration is deemed principal or primary administration and is distinguishable from ancillary administration, which is the management of a decedent's property in the state where it is situated, which is other than the state in which the decedent permanently resided.
