Pelvic-floor muscle training may be beneficial for pelvic-floor dysfunctions other than urinary incontinence (eg, fecal incontinence, bladder outlet obstruction, pelvic organ prolapse, pain, sexual disorders).
The researchers found this approach more effective than a toileting program alone in terms of improving residents' strength, mobility, endurance, and urinary and fecal incontinence.
