3 Kyodo China's Agriculture Ministry has confirmed a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak among 18 heads of cattle in the northwestern province of Gansu, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Friday.
On this day in 1967 horse racing in Britain had been cancelled indefinitely to try to stop the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.
