Question

Country: United States of America
State: New York

I think a friend of mine stole a $800 gold bracelet from my parents, and had someone pawn it. My parents think I stole it, and are reporting it stolen to the police. The person who my friend would've had pawn it, is scared of my friend, and I believe that if the cops knock on his door, this friend will have him say I stole it, and gave to him to sell. Is there a likelihood that I will end up blamed for this?

Answer

It would be hard for them to keep telling such a lie w/o getting caught eventually--some fact will show them to be lying.
