Can I be held responsible for the medical expenses of an individual who was accidentally stuck by a golf ball I hit. There was nothing intentional on my part. The individual choose to go to the hospital (emergency) where the expenses occurred. Please let me know what the proper response to this request ($500) would be.

You would be liable only if they were not on the course; and the course itself may have some insurance.
