Using the "0, 1" matricies, the percentage of polymorphic loci (P), average genetic heterozygosity (H) and genetic distance (D) of three species of abalone were calculated using Popgen32 software: Tests conducted before and after crude fractionation of the nondenatured VCP, using selective membrane (pore size) filtration as well as gel and bead matricies (see "Materials and Methods"), indicated that the cytolytic constituent(s) was between 50 and 100 kDa in size. |
