The firm's SOP-82-01 entitled "Stability Program" requires in part that accelerated stability testing be conducted for all new drug products at certain intervals and allows for use of bracketing and matrixing of products in obtaining representative accelerated stability data.
Basic concepts in stability testing are explained, followed by short- term stability studies such as accelerated testing, estimating drug expiration dating periods, study designs such bracketing and matrixing, and statistical analysis with fixed batches.
