On October 2, Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, police arrested seventy-eight activists who were engaged in nonviolent direct action outside the Alliant Techsystems corporate headquarters.
She believed that the nonviolent direct action she was doing and supporting would make not only Palestinians, but also Israelis and Americans, more secure.
In reality, nonviolent direct action was introduced from without by organized pacifists, principally from FOR.
