Country: United States of America State: Florida Hello, I have practiced flawless nursing for 15 yrs. In 1998 I was convicted of a dui. (.08).in 2003 I was convicted of a dui on prescribed medication in Oct and Dec. DOH filed compliant of this with the board of nursing in 2004.7 pages of facts and allegation of the due’s. These dues were never before or during work. (or did not occur within 24 hrs of work) Yet, the DOH alleges I committed a crime (f.s.464.018 (1)(c) \" being convicted or found guilty of, or entering a plea of nolo contender to, regardless of adjutant crime in any jurisdiction which DIRECTLY RELATES TO NURSING OR THE ABILITY TO PRACTICE NURSING."HOWEVER, the DOH leaves out the words 'OR ENTERING A PLEA OF NOLO CONTENDER TO'?

Answer

Did you enter a nolo plea? In any case, hire counsel to contest the board actions if they try to restrict you--these things are often resolved quietly.
