Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: United States of AmericaState: Michigan I plead guilty to an OWI-liquor last February. I got out on a ten percent bond ($300) and appeared to all of my court proceedings. Just recently, I fell behind on my payment schedule for the court costs. October and November's have not yet been paid. Instead of treating this as a violation of probation, they are revoking my release and forfeiting my bond. I just want to know if this is actually a release violation or not? I was tried in the 18th district court in Westland, MI. AnswerIt is yes--try to get the payments resolved asap--or if need be provide a detailed explanation as to what has happened...How to thank TFD for its existence?
