Question

Country: Canada State: Ontario I used pay pal to sell online for years, they limited my accounts for no reason, would not respond to me, then made me fax personal info to them, this went on for almost two months, I was lied to saying that If I did all they asked, i would get my money out of my account. then they sent me an email saying they are holding my money ($5200) for 180 days and my limiations could not be appealed. When I called, they said their reason for this was because I had opened too many accounts, I did not know I couldn't open more accounts, and it still does not seem legal for them to hold my money for that reason, I have NO complaints from my customers, no chargebacks, I am now getting evicted, I've lost my home, my business is finished, my children's christmas ruined not only from lack of gifts but seeing their mother so upset for months, they now have to go to a new school, be uprooted, we have suffered alot because of this. Paypal needs to be shut down, if you go to paypalsucks.com you will see hundreds of thousands of others just like me. Can you help me get my money? There has to be something I can do. I did nothing wrong.

Answer

Based on what you say here, you could probably file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in your local small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to the US state attorney eneral's office where they are located.
