Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: United States of AmericaState: California The place where we were ordering pizza from was stealing money from my checking account and I guess buying pizzas for themselves. Someone that took the orders must have written my card number down and used it. I called them and got my $111.00 Dollars back but everyone I talk to tells me that I should sue the company. Since it happened right before Christmas, and I had to cancel my checking card it made it hard to buy anything. We've been having to use our emergency credit card. I'm just wamdering if it is worth suing over. AnswerBased on what you say here, you could probably file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... you may also file a police report--Want to thank TFD for its existence?
