QuestionCountry: United States of America State: Washington My husband has a suspended license because of a DUI. He was pulled over the other day because the officer had done a random license plate check and it came up that the owner had a suspended license. He was asked if he was the suspended driver and my husband said yes. Is that legal? Doesn't the officer need probable cause before he can do a records check. He was not breaking any laws that the arresting officer informed him of. We live in Washington State if that helps. We are just curious if this is legal. It doesn't seem like it should be.Answer |
