Question

Country: United States of America State: California I have an elderly Grandmother who gave power of attorney to her daughter in law; the daughter in law is taking money from her bank accounts and hides the bank statements from her so she won't "worry". What can we do to help if Grandma can't believe she is being ripped off by her daughter-in-law?

Answer

You can ask her to revoke it--or seek a court order if you feel grandma is not competent. Even the threat to involve the court may have some effect.
