Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: United States of AmericaState: Texas I purchased a boat that was advertised to be a 98 model. Turns out to be a 96 model, when I received my receipts from the state. When looking at the value of the boat in comparison from a 96 to 98 there is a 1,700.00 dollar difference. I contacted the dealership & they said to bring the boat back. Should I file a complaint with the BBB or take it back, or do I have a leg to stand on. AnswerBased on what you say here, you could probably file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office. How to thank TFD for its existence?
