Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: United States of AmericaState: New York 2 months ago I purchased a 2005 Jeep Liberty diesel fuel from a local car dealer. In NYS a new jeep diesel cannot be sold with less that 7500 miles on it but they sold it to me anyway with dealer plates until the mileage racked up. They were reported and are demanding the return of the vehicle even though I have been making bank payments and have a bill of sale. What are my rights here? AnswerBased on what you say here, you could probably file suit gainst them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.Want to thank TFD for its existence?
