Question

Country: United States of America
State: New York

I CURRENTLY RENT AN APARTMENT AND HAVE BEEN THERE FOR SEVEN MONTHS. I HAD A HANDWRITTEN LETTER FROM MY LANDLORD LEFT AT MY DOOR ON NOV. 27 2005 THAT I HAD TO VACATE THE APARTMENT BY NOV.30 2005. ON NOV. 30 THE LANDLORDS STEP SON CAME TO MY APARTMENT AND TOLD ME I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE OUT IN A WEEK. HE ALSO STATED THAT HE WILL NOT BE DOING THIS WITH ANY LEGAL HELP, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT. WHAT CAN I DO?

Answer

File a police report for the threat...they have to use the court to evict you...
