In May and June, the assigned PTO examiners granted the reexamination requests that were filed by SPIL, and issued non-final official actions in the inter partes reexamination proceedings initially rejecting a number of the patent claims. 5,192,553, thus terminating the reexamination proceeding. We went into the reexamination proceedings with 128 claims, and as a result of the PTO reexamination process, 163 claims were allowed, demonstrating the strength of our tuner inventions. |
