Question

Country: United States of America State: Maine I sent a digital camera out to Sony for repair due to their manufacturing default and they fixed the camera and sent it out to someone else, not me. I am an aspiring artist and need make my work visually available around the world. I haver been with out my camera over six weeks....I was the one that inquired Sony had no idea of the problem, the support service blamed it on UPS, even though they just left it on someones porch. Its unfair that a consumer who trusts a manufacturer can be dupped into buying a product that they give to someone else. Do I have any rights here in this matter?

Answer

Based on what you say here, you could probably file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costsand damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.
