Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: United States of AmericaState: Massachusetts I received a summons to appear in court for a credit card default. I have been working with a debt settlement company, who apparently is not going to help me with this. I have 18 days left to answer the summons. I am in the process of refinancing to pay the sum. I have to answer the summons but can't find anything to deny. I have to admit everything. Will this delay the process if I admit all counts so I can buy some time to come up with the funds through refinancing? Also, In Massachusetts can they take? my home for the equity if they get a judgment? AnswerSee http://www.worldlawdirect.com/article/926/Answering_a_complaint.htmlHow to thank TFD for its existence?
