The world had just emerged from a war that had witnessed millions murdered for their race, factories built for industrial slaughter and the rule of totalitarian dictators who built mountains of human misery.
Regarding democratically elected presidents, consider de la Rua in Argentina, who was tossed out of office; meanwhile, totalitarian dictators such as Fidel Castro are treated with respect and invoked to defend human rights.
Apparently, from Biskind's perspective, no good can come from that pair of evil, totalitarian dictators ruling an entertainment-based company.
