Question

Country: United States of America
State: Kansas

I have had my name changed legally by a judge in a court of law. My question is when applying for employment in a secure job am I required to give my old name or only my legal name? I am getting conflicting stories from different people. I am job searching and feel that I am being discriminated against because of this. One potential employer states I only have to give my current legal name. Yet others state I am required to give all names I have ever used.

Answer

Only your current name unless they ask otherwise--
