The NT Health Department annual report 2005-06 shows a 32% drop in physical and verbal assaults on administrative and professional health care workers but physical attacks on nurses rose from 110 to 143 in the past financial year and verbal abuse rose 2%.
The main form of bullying reported was verbal abuse (25%), while 4% were bullied physically and 2% were victims of theft/vandalism.
