Question

Country: United States of America State: Michigan My wife was standing outside at a wall-Mart on Friday morning after thanksgiving, she was being harassed by women standing in line to get in, she was first accused of cutting in-line (ya right) anyway, my wife was just minding her own business with our 12 year old daughter, my wife was not trying to do anything except for getting out of the cold snowy weather. The police we're called to the scene. The first thing the police asked her is; are you to good to stand in line, anyway the police asked her to show them her Identification she politely said NO, they arrested her for resisting and obstructing, disorderly person, not sure but after researching this, I don’t think she has to surrender her identification.

Answer

She unfortunately normally does have to show ID...or they can arrest her tofind it out…
