Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: United States of AmericaState: Michigan I have recently been charged with a ticket for zero tolerance and open inbox. just five days ago. I talked to a lawyer who said that I could be charged for a second offense because I have two charges at once, despite the fact that I do not have a prior record. I have researched online that for first offense zero tolerance I cannot be sentenced jail time, but for a second offense I can face up to 93 days in jail. I was wondering whether or not this lawyer was correct in advising that I could face jail time for my first offense due to the other charge of open inbox. AnswerThat usually will not happen...but it is legally possible yes...How to thank TFD for its existence?
