acquaintance violence
impulsive aggressive behaviour towards someone with whom the attacker has been in contact. The British Crime Survey defines it as assaults and attempts in which the victim knew one or more of the offenders at least by sight (not involving partners, ex-partners, household members or other relatives).Collins Dictionary of Law © W.J.
