SECONDARY, construction. That which comes after the first, which is primary: as, the primary law of, nations the secondary law of nations.

SECONDARY, English law. An officer who is second or next to the chief officer; as secondaries to the prothonotaries of the courts of king's bench, or common pleas; secondary of the remembrancer in the exchequer, &c. Jacob, L. D. h.t.

To the east, beyond Deluc and Lilius, are more overlapping craters 30 to 40 km wide that may be secondaries from the Nectaris Basin, nearly 1,500 km to the northeast.
You won't find basin secondaries on the large maria because the lavas erupted after the basins formed.
If that's the case, the secondaries may be able to shed some light on the evolution of all endosymbionts.
