Author Mark Twain wrote, "Courage is resistance to Fear, mastery of fear--not absence of Fear.
She closed with the comment that courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it, and a typically Australian metaphor: 'if the surfers always fear the sharks, they will never swim with the dolphins
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than one's fear.
