I believe the age of consent in North Carolina is 16. I began dating my boyfriend when he was fourteen and I was 17. We have dated for four months and I am now 18 and he is 15. We have a good relationship and I would like to maintain it; however, I am concerned about the possibility of criminal rape charges against me should we dissolve our relationship on bad terms. Considering that he is male, I am female and there is a three year age difference, what grounds would he have in court?
