When one is dreaming about shaping world policies, it must be a bore to have to wake up to run a municipality -- albeit one with the most celebrities per mile and a surprising number of opportunities to cozy up to busty actresses. One month there'd be a male model on the cover, the next month nothing but typography, the next month a male celebrity, the next month a busty, Maximish babe. Known to servicemen during World War II as a "Mae West" after the busty film star, the inflatable life jacket saved thousands of lives, particularly of naval and Army Air Corps aviators in the Pacific theater, where later, more refined versions of the vest saw heavy use. |
