Both systems support a larger number of diagnoses to allow physicians to use descriptive clinical vocabulary for diagnosis. Apology just isn't in the clinical vocabulary or, for that matter, in the clinician's line of vision. With the addition of the SNOMED-CT mapping file, current and future database users will have the ability to link pharmaceutical, pathological and clinical condition coding using the SNOMED-CT clinical vocabulary, and to translate between SNOMED-CT and other terminology languages. |
