The conscious mind filters this information into information that it compartmentalises into varying parts of the brain.
The brain also does not overlap information, it actually neatly places and compartmentalises them into sections within the vast memory banks of the thalamus (arguably other parts of the lobe as well).
To hold that this is not so is to indulge in a protective counter-culturalism, sometimes amounting to counter-racism, that so limits the right to speak, so compartmentalises the right to 'knowledge', as to lead to a rupture in communication, a ghettoisation of knowledge systems.
