The Birmingham-based DJ and TV presenter, who presents the Friction show on the BBC Asian Network, will be compering an outdoor dance show to mark the 175th anniversary of the Town Hall.
I remember - with affection - Victor Silvester and his ballroom orchestra, by whom programmes were broadcast on BBC Radio with Victor both conducting and compering the proceedings.
Terry Larkin from Normanby (left) and Sid Walton from Redcar offered their services as a comic duo and to share the compering.
