Limited as discussers are to the pace and vagaries of email, at least they can't all talk at once (as we tend to do on controversial subjects at my shop's editorial board meetings).
In a traditional course, if you're not a discusser, you could go through the entire course without discussing anything.
I'm also a great talker and discusser, but I started forgetting the subject matter half-way through my sentences - which is terribly alarming.
