Ask a Lawyer QuestionCountry: United States of AmericaState: California Yesterday, police took my wife to jail on the basis of a warrant. The warrant was for a felony account of elder abuse, where the incident is dated 1996. (She has never been aware of this.) She has been living in the state all these years.
