Encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV; family Picornaviridae, genus Cardiovirus) is a group of closely related virus strains belonging to 1 serotype with a wide host range (1).
For this, murine encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV)-sensitive L 929 fibroblasts were incubated with different amounts of EPs[R] 7630 and some characteristic constituents, respectively, before exposure to EMCV suspensions.
Other important infectious agents in this group include hepatitis A, hepatitis E, encephalomyocarditis virus, polioviruses, coxsacki viruses, reoviruses, rhinoviruses, astroviruses, caliciviruses, echoviruses, parvoviruses, and aphthovirus.
