I have not paid my 629 euro mobile phone bill (O2). I used my Swedish passport to get the contract, but live in Australia. What are the legal consequences? Will I have a criminal record in Germany? Will I be able to leave the country? Will I be able to return?

Answer

It is normally not a criminal law issue--it is civil. So you should be okay.
