Chief economist Jack Kyser, of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, said the move will certainly help minimum-wage workers, who have felt the pinch in their paychecks through the years. No matter their size, employers felt the pinch of rising premiums for group medical insurance from June through November, 2004. To date, only a handful of states which rely on imported cement--including Florida and California--have felt the pinch, with the New York area remaining unaffected by the shortage. |
