Sweet, but hugely effective brakes and a cracking snicker of a gearbox make light work of getting a shift on, though the engine is your greatest ally here.
This machine is pretty damn sensual at speed AND when it's cranked over - for the big lump of engine is slung low enough to make for easy wheeching round corners, and the forward-tilted riding position makes an aggressive platform for getting a shift on.
The cramped riding position is perfect for getting a shift on, but it made the old war wounds ache a bit.
