A term used in Labor Law to describe an orderly, established way of dealing with problems between employers and employees. Through the grievance procedure system, workers' complaints are usually communicated through their union to management for consideration by the employer. |

The court noted that inmate grievance procedures are not even constitutionally required, and therefore an inmate's mere disagreement with the outcome of his grievance will not give rise to a constitutional claim. The committee concluded that the university's grievance procedures to protect students who felt they were being abused by faculty were inadequate, and that university administrators who knew of students' complaints about the MEALAC professors had not addressed these complaints decisively or referred them to the appropriate grievance channels. With a PLA in place, it's awfully hard to do that, and if there are any issues there, the PLA sets up a grievance procedure for the workers. |
