| As the Emmy-winning (for writing and directing) ``My Name Is Earl'' begins its second season, Joy gets in trouble with the law through a series of convoluted idiocies that could only happen to someone on this show. What connects all the separate stories is the author's humor and the love and acceptance among the family members even as they often shake their collective heads in dismay over the idiosyncrasies and idiocies of the individual members. Idiocies are perpetuated, such as ending welfare, which will either make children starve or put the uneducated into non-existent jobs. |
