| In a nutshell: ``War of the Roses''-style deconstruction of the romantic comedy that works in fits and starts, but ultimately collapses because it's really two or three different movies competing with each other. It is a conversation we have had in fits and starts in California, but there has yet to be consensus or the political will to do anything differently. I have a lot of energy and drive, so it was frustrating for me to realize that progress tends to happen in fits and starts, not in big leaps. |
